Yege-quma River-Nomad house to the last stretch heading to Lhasa Turning Point is a total of 213km, 2 nights stay and a switch of highways from S308-G109. These past few days we have been riding in a less populated area and it has been the most challenging days for us. During the ride, we are still able to see some nomad tents / settlement and some construction site but most of time you are alone in this vast land.Weather changes rapidly with strong winds. Occasionally, we can see wild animals run on both sides of the roads. Scenery doesn't change much but it is the same most of the time and beautiful as usual. Road conditions are generally good with elevation between 4200 - 4600m with rolling roads. Generally riding on the QingHai and Tibet plateau, the main challenges would be climbing and headwinds.
It is a first time we get to stay next to a wolf in the KeKeXiLi wild reserve tonight. A wolf is an animal created with swift movements and eyes that observes everything around. You know she has a plan in her mind.
Yege to Lhasa Turning Point, this route has nothing to offer rather than its nature. Don't come unless fully prepared.
